Commitment to Marquee Quality and Safety
At Mango Marquees we have a total commitment to the quality of our equipment and the construction of our marquees at an event. All our marquees are erected to the manufactures specifications by experienced staff and are flame retardant to BS7837.We are dedicated to ensure that health and safety standards our kept to by Mango Marquees from when we arrive on site, through the event and until the removal of our marquee is complete.
As members of the Performance Textiles Association (formerly the Made Up Textiles Association - MUTA) we are fully committed to the MUTA code of practice covering the full extent of health and safety issues applicable to the industry.
Our equipment is British manufactured and subsequently meets the higher standards required by the UK in comparison to the Continent. Mango Marquees are meticulously maintained between events.
Healthy and Safety Checklist
We provide the following checklist to assist in the planning and operation of your event.In compliance of Contract, we confirm
- Dates for erection and dismantling.
- Position of over-ground services and cables.
- Plan of structure with entrances and fire exits.
- Availability of mains service & water, electricity, etc.
- General and emergency lighting.
- 24 hour emergency telephone number.
Public safety requirements
- Access and egress for the public.
- Access for the emergency vehicles and equipment.
- Check occupancy levels /numbers of fire exits req.
- Arrange for rubbish to be cleared regularly.
- Fire fighting equipment.
Arrange with Authorities
- Obtain licence from local authority if required.
- Insurance & public liability and loss or damage to equipment.
- Notify local police if appropriate.
- AA/RAC signs.
Winter months / exceptional sites
During the winter months and when experiencing extreme weather conditions the following additional measures need considering:- Necessity of a controlled heating system.
- Necessity of on site maintenance.
- The effect of water drainage on surrounding land.
- Necessity of solid doors.
General
- A comprehensive risk assessment.
- Ablution arrangements.
- On site security.
